Scouting-Girl Style

VALPARAISO | The Girl Scouts of Valparaiso and Washington Township will be hosting their 33rd annual Scouting-Girl Style from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Washington Township High School, 381 E. Ind. 2. This year's theme, Imagine the Future, looks into what might be happening locally and around the world as Girl Scouts USA starts its second century as the foremost organization for girls in the United States. Girl Scout families as well as the general public are invited to participate in all activities. Admission to Scouting-Girl Style is one nonperishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry. Relay For Life meeting

VALPARAISO | The American Cancer Society is seeking teams for Relay For Life of Greater Valparaiso. A meeting for team captains will be held from 7:15 to 8 p.m. in Room C151 at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, 1600 Roosevelt Road. Parking is available in the lot off Roosevelt Road between the middle school and the elementary school. Enter through Door 6 and follow the signs to the meeting room.
