Health Fair

VALPARAISO | Village Park Enrichment Center will host a Health Fair with information booths from various fields of health care offering educational materials and free screenings for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and more, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 605 Beech St. The event also will include sessions of bingo from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with prizes provided by the participants. Village Park Enrichment Center, designed for adults 50 and older, is a joint venture of Pines Village Retirement Communities and the Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation. Ten Signs of Alzheimer's

CHESTERTON | Westchester Public Library and the Alzheimer's Association will present Know the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's and Dementia from 6:05 to 7:30 p.m. at Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Ave. This is an introductory program that provides attendees with an understanding of the difference between age-related memory loss and Alzheimer's and what to do if they or someone they know has signs of the disease. Pig Out For Change

VALPARAISO | Hoosiers Heart Helpers Company will hold a fundraising BBQ sponsored by a local Valparaiso business, Meals by Mom, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kmart parking lot, 2801 Calumet Ave. The cost is $10.
