Youth art month opening reception

PORTAGE | Celebrate the creativity of youth at the Youth Art Month Opening Reception from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Portage Public Library, 2665 Irving St. More than 200 Portage Township students will be exhibiting paintings, drawings and other multimedia pieces in the Youth Services Department and display cases. Spring card workshop

Vision Loss program

VALPARAISO | Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County will present Vision Loss program from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Village Park Enrichment Center at Banta, 605 Beech St. This informational program will provide attendees with an increased knowledge of the importance of knowing about changes in vision and when to seek attention from a vision professional. Fish, chicken fry with silent auction

VALPARAISO | Boone Grove High School Wolfpack Football Club will hold an all-you-can-eat fish and chicken fry and silent auction from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Boone Grove High School cafeteria, 260 S. County Road 500 West. Cost is $30 for a family of 4; $5 each additional person; $8 for seniors, students; $10 for adults. Tickets available at the door. Carryouts available.
