CENTER TOWNSHIP | A 28-year-old man was reportedly found incoherent on the side of a road Saturday with a blood alcohol content nearly seven times the 0.08 legal limit.
About 3:40 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Edgewater Beach Road near Agape Lane where a Westville woman reported finding James Henderson, of Center Township, lying in the street.
Authorities and EMS units responded. Henderson was taken to Porter hospital in Valparaiso where officials said a test found he had a blood alcohol content of .552.
Police said Henderson had bruising on his body and may have been struck by a passing car.
Public intoxication charges are pending.
