VALPARAISO – Metro Recycling is partnering with 1st Source Bank and Opportunity Enterprises to give community members a way to safely shred their confidential documents. On Tuesday, April 30th these organizations can help take shredding off consumers’ to-do lists with a free shred day.

The event will be hosted at the 1st Source Valparaiso Downtown Banking Center in the South Parking Lot from 11am – 2pm. Shredding confidential documents is an important part of one’s financial security. Items such as paper, CDs, file folders, and credit cards can be safely shred at this free event.

“We are happy to help community members in their efforts for safe financial practices,” said LaRae Dykstra, Metro Recycling’s Marketing Director. “Shredding is also beneficial from a recycling standpoint and therefore helpful in terms of our community and environment.”
