VALPARAISO | Opportunity Enterprises Simply Amazing Market is celebrating the launch of the holiday season with an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the market, which is located on the north side of OE’s main facility at 2801 Evans Ave. in Valparaiso.

The day will feature free photos with Santa, product samples and prize drawings as well as a Holiday Gift Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that includes gifts from various vendors, including Avon, Scentsy, Pampered Chef and Thirty-One.

Allison Thomas, OE marketing and communications manager, said the event is a great way to connect to the community.

“The open house gives the public a chance to see our market in person, and for many people this may be their first visit. The holidays are by far our busiest time of year, and it’s great to see customers who shopped our market for the holidays last year come back and bring a friend,” she said. “We hope that the event helps us get reacquainted with repeat customers, as well as find some new ones!”

The open house also helps showcase the key objectives and goals of OE, Thomas said.

“The open house gives people a chance to see our market and the wonderful products we offer, as well as become acquainted with OE and our mission. When people purchase our market products, they can feel good knowing that they are also contributing to making a difference in the lives of more than 1,000 adults and children with disabilities throughout our community,” she said. “As we like to say: ‘Make a difference. Change a life. It’s Simply Amazing!’”

Holiday store hours beginning Dec. 1 are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
