VALPARAISO — Taltree Arboretum & Gardens announced HighTower Scannell Wealth Management is a sponsor of the final two performances in non-profit’s Acorn Concert Series.

HighTower Scannell Wealth Management presented Taltree with a $3,000 donation for the July 23 concert featuring Chester Brown and headliner Mr. Blotto and the Sept. 17 concert with The Planetary Blues Band, The Ben Franklin Blues Project and Grammy award-nominated John Primer and The Real Deal Blues Band.

“I’m a big fan of Taltree’s mission to establish and preserve gardens, natural areas and woody plant collections for education, enjoyment and inspiration,” said Tim Scannell, managing director of HighTower Scannell Wealth Management.

“In addition we want to support the summer camps and school groups that bring children from all over to a setting many of them might never see if not for Taltree. Taltree’s mission to preserve and protect these gardens for future generations is consistent with the mission we have for our clients. Families work with us because we create customized plans based on their unique goals, and we continuously reevaluate those plans to ensure they are aligned with changing family needs. We protect and grow wealth for today and help prepare clients’ children, grandchildren and favored charities to use inherited wealth in a responsible and productive way.”

Taltree Arboretum & Gardens’ Executive Director Stephanie Blackstock said the donation advances Taltree’s mission.

“We are grateful for the generous support of HighTower Scannell and for the long-time support of Tim Scannell,” Blackstock said.

The Acorn Concert Series begins July 2 with Cory Dennison and Seth Walker headlining an Americana-style concert. The Ben Franklin Blues Project will get the party started.
