VALPARAISO | The American Cancer Society Relay For Life team Rush For A Cure will meet and greet the community at a wine-tasting party from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Anderson's Vineyard & Winery, located on U.S. 6, 3.5 miles east of Ind. 49. Taste For A Cure will be hosted by Anderson's Winery with entertainment by the Bob Baldwin Band / 3B, complimentary food and wine tasting. Anderson's own Chef Nick will prepare his famous chicken wings and reuben rounds.
The Rush For A Cure team wants to relay big in 2013 by raising awareness and funds for the Relay For Life of Greater Valparaiso on May 17–18. The team will be taking orders for Luminarias which will light the relay track throughout the night in honor of loved ones fighting cancer and in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Luminaria bags will be available for a $10 donation. To have a photo added to the bag, bring a non-returnable paper copy no larger than 5” x 5”.
