VALPARAISO | The Village Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibit of the works of local artist, Marjory Wood Crawford, opening April 14 and on display through May 23.
Marjory considers herself primarily an plein art artist, but is also a talented sculptor. At an early age, her artwork demonstrated artistic ability and she went on to study at the University of Indiana, the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and was a student and assistant to Mustafa Naguib, a former National Sculptor of Egypt. Marjory went on to raise a family and run a family business. The sale of the family business allowed Marjory to become a full-time artist and owner of the Coffee Creek Studios.
A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
