VALPARAISO | Camp out under the stars at Taltree Arboretum & Gardens this summer and enjoy concerts on July 26, Aug. 9 and Aug. 30

On July 26, The Neverly Brothers will play hits from the 1950s American rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, and rhythm and blues pioneers up to the 1964 British Invasion.

On Aug. 9, American English will showcase the best of the Beatles career from 1963-1970. The band will be raffling off a Fender Stratocaster guitar that was used extensively by John Lennon and George Harrison through the recording of their "Rubber Soul" album and when they played the guitar solo in unison on "Nowhere Man."

On Aug. 30, Marrakesh Express, a widely acclaimed Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young tribute band, will take you back to the 1960s with classic hits like "Southern Cross" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes."

“Music in Nature has become one of our most important fundraisers,” said Alexis R. Faust, president and CEO of Taltree Arboretum & Gardens. “The proceeds from this series will support the restoration of northern Indiana’s natural landscape of prairie, wetlands and woodlands and enhance our hands-on education programs that teach local youth about the importance of conservation.”

Taltree Grill will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and chips. Leroy’s Hot Stuff will serve beer, wine, sodas and water. No outside alcohol is allowed. No glass containers will be permitted.

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. The gate opens at 5:30. Concerts will be held rain or shine. Tickets are $30 per concert or $80 for a concert series package. Member discounts are available. Order tickets online at Taltree.org. Taltree is at 450 W. County Road 100 North.
