VALPARAISO | Two young women are behind bars on charges of burglarizing a local home Thursday.

Sabrina Cahillane, 20, and Jamie Farmer, 21, both of Valparaiso, face felony burglary counts.

The pair are accused of burglarizing a home in the 300 block of Chestnut Street during the day.

The resident found someone had cut a rear window screen to enter the home. The list of stolen items included various electronic devices, makeup, jewelry and clothing.

One of the accused reportedly confessed to the burglary Thursday while being questioned by police about another, unrelated break-in.

All of the stolen items were recovered and are being returned to the victim, police said.
