VALPARAISO | Members of Faith Fellowship Church recently participated in Operation Christmas Child, collecting enough items to fill 126 shoeboxes which will be sent to children around the world.

The operation is sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, an International Relief Organization headed by Franklin Graham. Since 1993 more than 100 million boys and girls in 130 countries have received such boxes. Inside the containers are stuffed animals, hygiene products, school supplies, toys, clothes, shoes, candy, flashlights, jewelry and other items. Boxes are marked either boy or girl and the appropriate age groups: 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14.

Faith Fellowship, 84 S. County Road 500 West, also collected $882, which was $7 per box, to pay for mailing the gifts to the children.
