Central Park Plaza Market

Tuesdays and Saturdays

June 1st through October 29th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visit the market weekly to shop for fresh local produce, handmade products and beautiful plants and flowers. The Market is located at the Central Park Plaza.

Eat Up Wine Down

1st Thursday of every month, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Valpodining.com restaurants will open their doors and offer guests five of their most “famous” drinks and/or dishes...for a cost of only $5 per selection. Enjoy tastes from Bistro 157, Bon Femme Café, Don Quijote, Margarita's, Tommy B's (formerly Paparazzi), Pikk’s Tavern, The Silver Spoon, and Valley.

Valparaiso Wine Festival

Saturday, June 15th Central Park Plaza – Downtown Valparaiso from 4 to 7 p.m. (3 p.m. VIP)

VIP $50, General Admission $35, Designated Driver $15. Enjoy friends, wine, and a summer afternoon in the park. Sample over 80 wines with live entertainment by Freek Johnson and food available for purchase.

Summer Jam

Saturday, July 27th from 2 to 9 p.m.

Central Park Plaza – Downtown Valparaiso:

The first annual Summer Jam Music & Food Festival features three live bands and headliner Blue Oyster Cult. Enjoy an afternoon in the park with three live bands, food available for purchase and beer tent. Reserved seating is $30 with only 300 available, and general admission is $10 in the lawn area, bring your blankets.

Popcorn Festival

September 7, 2013 (always the Saturday after Labor Day)

Celebrating its 35th year and named the "Best Festival of the Region" by The Times readers for 15 years, the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival continues to offer family-fun activities for all ages. Over 200 arts and crafts booths, 30 food booths, kids’ games, the five-mile Popcorn Panic, and the nation’s First Popcorn Parade are only the beginning of the excitement of this incredible festival. Headlining entertainment this year from the Gin Blossoms.

Valpo Brewfest

Saturday, September 28th 1 to 5 p.m. (12-1 p.m. VIP)

Sample over 125 different styles of beers from America’s best craft brewers. Valpo Brewfest is a celebration of the great craft beer and the cool people that enjoy it. All attendees receive a sampling glass.

Fall Harvest Festival

Friday, October 25, 4 to 6 p.m.

Check out the “spooktacular” events planned for this special day including the Downtown Trick or Treat and free hayrides provided by the Valparaiso Parks Department. All in Central Park.

Holly Days

Friday, December 6th from 5 to 7 p.m.

Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season in downtown Valparaiso as Central Park Plaza comes alive with holiday musical performances on the Porter Health Amphitheater Stage. Michiana Ice Carvers prepare a Giant Ice Sculpture. The Holiday Village Market features special holiday vendors. Free rides on the holiday train take guests on the streets around Central Park Plaza. Visit the Live Nativity that will host live animals, listen to the sidewalk carolers, and stroll through downtown to the stores and restaurants for treats and specials.

Summer Rhapsody Music Festival

Downtown Valparaiso’s Porter Health Amphitheatre in Central Park Plaza

From classical to jazz, Summer Rhapsody Music Festival is a feast of the sounds and senses for music lovers of all ages. Bring your picnic, blanket, and chairs and relax with this summer concert series. Admission is free.
