VALPARAISO | An investigation into a fraud case resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old Valparaiso man on felony charges of possessing child pornography and child exploitation.
Police said they served a search warrant at noon Wednesday at the home of Thomas Handzlik, 581 N. Calumet Ave.
Police prepared to confiscate a computer and took Handzlik to the station to talk to him about the fraud case.
During the interview, police said they discovered possible child pornography websites listed in the Internet search history on Handzlik's computer.
Handzlik admitted to fraud and identity theft, as well as to being in possession of child pornography, police said.
Several electronic devices were taken for evidence from Handzlik's home.
