A Valparaiso man filed a plea agreement with federal prosecutors Tuesday, admitting to receiving child pornography.

Terrance S. Young was arrested late last year after federal agents found more than 100 images of child pornography on his home computer, according to Hammond federal court records.

In the agreement filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court, Hammond, Young agreed to plead guilty to receiving the images.

If a judge accepts the plea, Young could face between five and 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the plea agreement states.

In exchange for his guilty plea to receiving child pornography, prosecutors have agreed to drop a second charge of possessing child pornography and will seek some leniency during sentencing, according to the agreement.
