The Valparaiso farmers market has been around since 1976. Now called the Central Park Plaza Market, it now occupies space at Lafayette and Indiana streets. The market features vendors who sell a variety of items, from home grown vegetables to freshwater shrimp. Also available are baked on-site pretzels, flowers, oils, bread, wooden lawn furniture and chocolate.

The market continues through October from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays.
