Summer camp registration is now open and camp has begun. Camp is structured by a daily schedule which provides focused activities developed from weekly themes. Camp activities will be held outdoors on YMCA grounds in the pavilion. The YMCA facility includes a playground, youth wellness room, swimming pool and gym. Parent night out
Do you need someone to look after your child for a night out? We’re here for you! If you need to run errands or just need a date night, having a go-to, reliable and responsible sitter on a Saturday night is a blessing. Seasonal crafts, healthy snacks and a kid-appropriate movie are only a few of the great activities we have planned. the next scheduled night is June 21 and a 24 hour in advance notice is needed.

School-age day camp
Y Day Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. School-age kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities. Y counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every day camper. Includes field trips, sports, swimming, crafts, healthy cooking and more. For children entering grades 1-8.

Parents Night Out
Parents can use the Parents Night Out program and stop worrying about finding a sitter, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday. Trained YMCA staff have fun activities planned to keep each child’s attention. The cost for members is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. The nonmember rate is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child.
T-ball coach pitch preseason skills camp registration has begun for ages 3 to 7. Preseason skills camp runs for four Saturdays starting on Saturday. The cost per player is $25. The T-Ball/Coach Pitch season runs from July 12 to Aug. 23. The cost is $40 per child for members and $80 per child for nonmembers.
Time to register youths in grades one to eight for summer camp, which has begun and is filled with swimming, arts and crafts, new games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and new friendships. Each week is themed, and the cost includes a free camp T-shirt. Registration forms are available online at www.dunelandymca.org, at the YMCA front desk, or at the preschool in Chesterton Middle School at Entrance 8.
The Y is providing space for a community garden for the summer, There is a definite need to help families in the Duneland community. Did you realize that the Westchester Food Pantry served more than 9,000 units last year? Did you know that the Y provides $150,000 in scholarships each year to help families so they can benefit from programs and child care? A community garden can help feed those who need it most. The Y needs volunteers to help construct raised beds. Monetary, construction materials and planting supplies donations are also being sought.

Personal training offer
Ashley Hall, Y personal trainer, is offering hour long personal training sessions two times each week. Get a total of eight sessions per month. Choose from individual or buddy training with Ashley Hall. Cost for individual training is $150 per month. If you're training with a buddy, cost is $120 per month per person.
