HAMMOND | All Jean Reynolds had to do was jump seven golfers going into Sunday's final round of the Duramed Futures Tour Horseshoe Casino Classic if she wanted to win.
So that's all she did. But it wasn't easy.
"The course played completely different (today) than the past two days," Reynolds said. "It was just a pretty difficult day out there."
If Saturday's round was defined by the low scores, including Misun Cho and Hanna Jun tying the Lost Marsh course record with rounds of 65, than Sunday's was the opposite.
It took only a 1-over-par 73 for Newnan, Ga., native to win the title on a windy day in Hammond.
Reynolds was consistent over the duration of the weekend, posting scores of 69, 71 and 73.
"I've been hitting the ball really solid all week," Reynolds said. "It just turned out that I was putting the ball in the fairway and getting myself in position to go at flags."
