LYNWOOD | St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers has expanded its primary care physician network with an office in Lynwood.
The office, 19400 North Creek Drive, is the newest in the hospital's 17-member Primary Care Physician Network and the only one in Illinois, St. Margaret spokeswoman Maria Ramos said.
The hospital, with locations in Hammond and Dyer, serves many patients from Illinois, Ramos said.
A ribbon cutting and blessing of the Lynwood office is planned for 3:30 p.m. today. Physician Satish Reddy is scheduled to begin seeing patients Aug. 25 at the office.
The hospital system's other physician care offices are located throughout Northwest Indiana, including in Dyer, Hammond and Lowell.
Ralph Edgar Enterprises redeveloped the Lynwood intersection of Torrence Avenue and Glenwood-Lansing Road, where the former White Rose Inn restaurant once was located.
In addition to the clinic, Edgar has commitments from First National Bank of Illinois and hopes to attract tenants for a 6,000-square-foot office building. Another 6,500-square-foot location could either house a restaurant or perhaps a retail business such as CVS Pharmacy.
