Steamy temps prompt call to action to limit ozone creation

Motorists travel along the westbound lane of Interstate 94 near Martin Luther King Drive in Gary Tuesday afternoon. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is issuing a continuation of the Air Quality Action Day for Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. Air pollution caused by auto emissions contributes to ozone, which is a health issue for children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems.
