Hobart's historic buildings is the topic of the program at the Hobart Historical Society's annual dinner. It will take place Nov. 6 at River Pointe Country Club. Bob Green will be the speaker. Crown Point High School's Theatre Department will present the Neil Simon comedy "Rumors" on stage at 7 p.m. Nov. 7, 8, 13, 15 and 16 and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the CPHS Auditorium, 1500 S. Main St. The plot revolves around four couples gathered at the New York City deputy mayor's home to celebrate he and his wife's anniversary. The guests begin a cover-up and become more and more crazed after the host shoots himself in the head (a flesh wound) and his wife disappears.
