U.S. embassy post. Near the Libyan coast. Security weak. More protection they seek. Ignored week by week. Terrorists attack. Men bravely fight back. Defenders along. Left there on their own. To handle the raid. With no U.S. aid. No rescue plans made. The ambassador died. Three colleagues at side. Their families cried. Officials then lied.

Were terrorists the foe? The White House said no. They cited, instead, a cheap video. The movie, a fake, gave Islamists a break. The U.S. took blame. And it sullied our name. Contrition was in. With a White House spin. Presidential apologies shook the UN. It was Arabic spring, but it had a false ring. Then reality fell on the White House West Wing.

The White House had gambled. The facts it had scrambled. Jay Carney rambled. The truth all in shambles. The spin got all jumbled. The story line crumbled. Hillary stumbled. With Susan Rice humbled. The White House had bumbled. Partisans mumbled. Republicans grumbled. Senators rumbled. Wanting Democrats humbled.

Stand by.
