Address mental health, don't discuss gun control

My heart goes out to all the victims of the Sandy Hook School massacre. However, I don't feel gun control is the solution to violence in this country.

Do I have all the answers? No, I don't. Maybe we need to do more to make sure the mentally disturbed, like the young man who committed this crime, get the help they need. I do believe guns need to be kept out of the hands of people like this. This kid obviously wanted to spread fear and devastation.

By starting with the gun control talk, you allow him to win and ultimately achieve his goal.

Think about this. Next time someone kills because they were inspired by a violent movie, let's just ban all movies. Next time someone commits murder because they listened to violent lyrics in a song, let's just ban all music. Next time someone reads a murder mystery novel ... Do you see where I'm going with this?
