I hope Obama administration will end invasion of privacy

This is for all who disbelieved that a 65-year-old woman was asked to sign a paper releasing the results of her bone density test to "authorized federal officials." Three years ago when I had my bone density test, I didn't keep a copy; this time I did. Under the title, "St. Margaret Mercy Health Centers Notice of Privacy," this paper contains two incredible paragraphs.

No. 1: "We will disclose medical information about you to federal officials so they may provide protection to the president, or other authorized persons or foreign heads of state, or conduct special investigations."

No. 2: "We may release medical information about you to authorized federal officials for intelligence, counterintelligence, and other national security activities authorized by law."

To those who said they didn't have to sign such a paper: I had to ask to see what the "Notice of Privacy" contained. Evidently they signed it without reading it. This was implemented under the Bush administration, and I hope will now be done away with.
