Federal Dream Act is anti-American legislation

Federal Dream Act is anti-American legislation

The Dream Act introduced by Sens. Dick Lugar, Dick Durbin and others is bad news for America's illegal immigration problem.

First, some of the requirements involve illegal activities such as entering the United States before age 16 (illegal entry), being here for at least five years (illegal residence) and obtaining a high school diploma or GED (illegal since they are not citizens). How they continue to obtain benefits they are not entitled to by being here illegally is beyond me.

This type of legislation will just encourage even more illegal immigration. How would you regulate who was here and when? This is bad legislation, and an attempt by shady politicians to garner the Hispanic vote.

This legislation will do nothing but reward lawbreakers and condone illegal immigration. Shame on them.

We have laws in this country that millions of immigrants have followed in the past.

The Dream Act is nothing but an attempt at intentionally violating our federal laws.

Write your representatives to oppose this anti-American legislation.
