That $80 billion is a minuscule amount of money when compared to trillion-dollar deficit budgets submitted by President Barack Obama over the past three years.
In both the president and Congress we elected dumb and dumber. They are fighting over $80 billion a year in additional revenue which will be spent in less than two weeks.
Why fight over a measly $80 billion? Wouldn't it be easier to cut $80 billion from the countless safety net programs?
And lest we not forget, there are only two "entitlements" — Social Security and Medicare. All the safety net programs have not been paid for or earned. Fair and balanced would be to cut the budgets of all government agencies by 10 percent, except the military.
While Obama does nothing actively to promote job growth, he continually beefs up safety net programs. Today he added another $4 trillion to our national debt.
