The Times is replete with the whining and chest thumping about how the Gary/Chicago International Airport cannot keep its timetable on expansion. The writers and politicians are just beside themselves because of the lack of private funds to aid in the expansion project.
Our fearless leader in Washington, D.C. needs to have the majority of the blame laid at his incompetent feet.
The economy is sluggish, and the emperor is dancing and stoking the flames of destruction. Over-regulation by unelected bureaucrats, executive orders halting projects that could get the economy moving and the looming start of "Obamacare" all play their part to slow the formation of capital and the ultimate creation of profits within the private sector.
This lack of profit makes businesses hold on to whatever they have in order to survive the next shoe to drop. Thus private sector money will not go to aid in the expansion of the Gary airport. And can you tell me why the private sector would want to contribute to the airport expansion when a group of government "hacks" will be in charge to waste and squander the funds?
Do not opine about the lack of private sector money for the airport expansion. Look to our imperial leader and his total incompetence in handling the state of our sorry economy.
