Can you imagine roads like this near Indianapolis?

Every time I drive up or down Cline Avenue, dodging potholes, dead dogs and cats on one of the most heavily traveled and dimly lit arteries in the state, I am infuriated.

The region is the redheaded stepchild of the state. It appears too many Democrats reside in the region, so we are at the bottom of the list when it comes to any Indiana Department of Transportation projects and essential road improvements and maintenance. The only way to get a road improvement for Northwest Indiana is to sell it to a foreign consortium.

Do you think this would happen anywhere near Indianapolis? Not on your life.

Nice work, Indiana government. You guys are on a roll! Cigars, cigarettes, bridges!
