He who does not know history is doomed to repeat it. Our country’s greatness and expansion in the late 1800s is based on capitalism and energy.
In the late 1800s the steel industry grew our cities across the country. We went from oil lamps to the discovery of electricity. When oil for oil lamps was no longer needed, capitalism discovered petroleum and along with machinery that increase manufacturing production levels. Oil was still needed to heat the homes of that era. The United States did not have a permanent income tax at that time, it came in 1912.
Just about everything we purchase and use is made from petroleum, plastics, pharmaceuticals, asphalt and much more. Gas was $1.85 per gallon when Obama took office; we need to be energy independent. High energy costs give us higher food and utility bill cost along every thing else we buy. Wake up, America! Obama wants to eliminate petroleum.
