Few disabled veterans, or those 65 or over, know that they might qualify for a VA pension.

If your service exceeded 90 days, included one day during any of the recognized conflicts and you were honorably discharged -- in-country presence is not required -- and your income meets specific criteria, you could receive about $1,000 per month or more.

A qualified veterans service officer available at many VFW, American Legion and DAV posts or a county service officer can help you with the claim process.
