Christian schools would flourish with freedom

Illiana Christian High School is leaving Lansing due mainly to its primary support base moving south. I am very disappointed, and I am not alone.

Illiana is a Christian-faith based school, providing excellent education built upon the truth of the Bible, the same truth our nation was built upon and on which we hold our hand when testifying in court.

Illiana is a "faith-based" school which our present government interprets to mean excluding them and others like them from sharing in the public educational tax dollar. Parents who send their children there do so out of principle and at great personal expense.

Public schools today have rejected the Bible as truth, and have based their faith on secular humanism. These are the only faith schools that receive public tax dollars.

Illiana would not be leaving Lansing if we had freedom of religion in education. Christian schools would flourish!
