I'd like to see the media educate people on how Obamacare might or might not affect them.

For instance, many people might not realize community health centers provide many options for affordable primary health care for working families. Insurance or not, people can go to a local health center and get all their preventative medical needs addressed.

Low cost does not mean low quality. The care at a health center is affordable, but the quality is as good as any one finds in private practices — and studies prove it. That means better health, fewer hospital ER visits, and consumers, taxpayers and governments save money.

NorthShore Health Centers in Northwest Indiana believes everyone deserves quality healthcare, which is why we support National Health Centers Week (Aug. 11-17) by providing health care education and free services that entire week.

Visit us or your local health care center and see for yourself why they are a good prescription for our nation's health.
