I wonder how many in Congress would have their job if common sense were a prerequisite.
I'm tired of hearing the fiscal cliff, tired of hearing entitlements, unless you mean what I've worked for my whole life. Yet this government gives millions to the oil companies and send billions to foreign countries to buy their loyalty.
They talk about social reform but aren't willing to help the ones trying to help themselves.
We pay for health care, housing and food for women who have eight or nine children. But nothing for people working for little more than minimum wage, trying to get higher education.
Or the lady who lost her husband after 60 years and now is forced to live on Social Security. His tax dollars, like everyone else's, pay for the men and women in Congress. I really doubt their spouses will be forced to live on $1,300 a month.
Yet the first thing congressmen want to do is cut Social Security and Medicare. Common sense? None.
