I am writing to express my support for Crown Point's teachers. From my understanding, they are being given multiple unfair requests in their new contract.

As a taxpayer and parent of four students in the Crown Point school system, I’m already disgruntled with the fact that Superintendent Teresa Eineman received a $20,000-a-year raise after I voted yes to passing the referendum to raise our taxes. I am assuming others in administration received increment raises as well.

Since our teachers haven’t had raises in five years and the community is paying more in taxes, I feel it shows a lack of integrity for the administration to accept raises.

Please put our teachers first. They’re the ones I care about. They’re the ones going above and beyond for my kids.
