In response to Mike Dancula's letter, he conveniently sidestepped the main point of my letter about background checks being needed at gun shows where you can walk in, lay your money down, and walk out with a gun, no questions asked. If that isn't an invitation to gun-toting gangsters, I don't know what is.

I'm not opposed to gun ownership. I'm just opposed to imbeciles and felons having such easy access to them. At least you have to take a test to get a driver's license.

About his comments on England, he must not know the United Kingdom has one of the lowest gun homicide rates in the world.

There is a big difference when you look at the big picture as opposed to single events. Like thousands of lives and fewer police needed to track down the murderers.
