Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels hasn't finished his term in office and he is already starting to apply his "slash, cut, burn, outsource and ignore" tatics to the new job his allies have appointed him to, as president of Purdue University on Jan. 1!
He states he is skeptical about two campuses in northwest Indiana, because of low graduation rates! Daniels isn't interested in finding out what to do to improve campus productivity, just shut them down. Is it because Northwest Indiana does not support him or political party?
How many campuses does he propose to shut down in other areas of the state that did support him?
Daniels states in the same interview that he did not seek the Purdue president's job, but was approached by Purdue board members! Of course, the majority were appointed by him!
Soon after Jan. 1 we might be introduced to the Daniels idea of running a college -- cut, slash, outsource! It's better than addressing the problem and so much easier!
