I believe Marlin Richards from Hammond and many others have a highly overrated opinion of Bill Clinton. They seem to have forgotten that he was an impeached president.
The only reason he had a balance budget is because he moved to the middle and listened to the Republican-controlled House's ideas.
Clinton was responsible for forcing banks to make the sub-prime mortgages, which is mainly responsible for the economic condition we were in when Barack Obama took office.
When Clinton took office, the federal deficit was close to $6 trillion, so George W. Bush did not add $10 trillion to the deficit. Obama has added more in four years than Bush did in eight years.
The Democrats don't seem to want to work with the Republicans to someday eliminate the deficit. To save Social Security, they have to eliminate the cutoff of $106,000 and have everyone pay it the whole year.
