In response to a recent letter about Obamacare: The writer stated Obama will be making cuts in 2014. This is just another lie the Republicans are spreading. If you're in doubt, check "truth or fiction" on your computer.
Regarding the writer's statement about Americans not paying taxes: We should start with Romney, who owns six homes and hides his money in the Cayman Islands. He will not reveal his tax statements either. Even Warren Buffett said the millionaires and billionaires aren't paying their fair share of taxes.

Regarding Obama refusing to build the Keystone Pipeline: All the environmental groups have reported from Pennsylvania to West Virginia that residents are seeing earthquakes, poisoned water courses, contaminated water, cancer and neurological disorders caused from fracking.
Only a few jobs will be created, which most Canadians will get. Europe has wonderful mass transit, trams, buses and bike routes. We could learn a lot from them regarding the environment.
We need to be less dependent on oil.
