Don't penalize Lake County's law-abiding citizens

I could not help but notice the pandering displayed by the Gun Enforcement Summit participants.

Law-abiding citizens attending a gun show at the Lake County Fairgrounds are indirectly indicted for the gun crime in Lake and Cook counties.

We law-abiding citizens help to pay for the Lake County Fairgrounds, but our impotent politicians chose to indict the rule-following citizens for the sins of the lawbreakers.

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart chooses to use Lake County as the reason for the violence in his jurisdiction. He must be an advocate of the Obama strategy to blame everyone else for his inability to effectively handle his elected duties.

Illinois, wake up; you are getting the ineptness you vote for every election cycle.

Lake County officials, do not penalize the law-abiding citizens for your inability to handle your duties. Do not become Cook County East.
