Don't tax those who won't ride South Shore

Here we go again with the expansion of the South Shore.

It amazes me that the folks in favor of the expansion believe all will be well if they can ride to Chicago and — Bang! — here is a job since you rode on the South Shore.

There are already plenty of stations available to board on. Maybe it would be easier if the train could come right to these folks' homes like the Polar Express.

Dyer already balked at having to come up with money to subsidize Amtrak stopping there because of lack of ridership. I guess Amtrak must not end up in an area plentiful with the cornucopia of jobs waiting for the Hoosiers getting off the South Shore.

If this does manage to be approved, then tax the benefactors of this action and not those of us who will not be using this line to job city.
