Nice to see the letter from Sen.-elect Joe Donnelly, promising to work hard for Hoosiers.

Donnelly campaigned as a fiscal moderate but, as a member of the House in 2010, bowed to Nancy Pelosi and supported Obamacare, a disastrous law that will lead to the collapse of our entitlement system.

He will undoubtedly do the same as a member of Harry Reid's Senate, since no Democrat dares to defy the iron-fisted rule of the Obama regime.

That was Evan Bayh's fate: He campaigned as a fiscal moderate, caved on Obamacare, then resigned, knowing he would be defeated in the 2010 election.

And thus, despite his good intentions, "moderate" Donnelly will join the hard left when he votes. The GOP might be divided, but at least they don't cower in fear of the Chicago thugocracy like the Democrats do.
