Either life is sacred at any stage, or it is not

When are we Christians going to quit backing down and speak what we believe?

As Christians, we believe God controls the universe.

Nothing catches God by surprise. Does God sit back helplessly when a tornado or hurricane hits, begging Mother Nature to stop? Of course not.

This, I believe, was what Richard Mourdock was saying -- God is in control. Adam sinned; therefore, we sin. God has allowed us to follow our sinful desires. However, even in the worst circumstances, God can bring good.

I know of a nurse's aide who was born as a result of a rape. And she is a wonderful human being. Those of you who believe abortion is wrong except in cases of rape or incest, please explain. Either life is sacred at any stage, or it is not.

What do we do with those that are born of rape or incest? Are they less than human? Do you believe Mourdock is less compassionate because of his beliefs? Stand strong Mourdock, for all life is sacred.

The Church of Christ exists for such a time as this: to show love to mothers who may be mothers of horrible circumstances, but are mothers none the less and to show love to children born under these circumstances, but children none the less.

We also must show love to those who do not believe as we do. Do not back down. Show the hope we have for eternal life in Jesus Christ.
