Elected officials aren't doing enough to protect rights
Between no support from the state or the courts, Sauk Village is headed for extinction. It seems our elected officials, both local and state, could care less about our rights in what is supposed to be a democratic form of government.
We have a dysfunctional mayor who never answers questions that might require thinking, yet takes away our rights by not abiding by the U.S. Constitution when there is a 5-1 vote against what he wants.
So what if the little old lady who has lived in the village for 55 years is about to lose her home. After all, she is just one little worm in the parties' way. Forget our sons and daughters who are serving and dying in the armed forces to protect our democratic form of government.
We the people need to take back our village and stand up to the good old boys of the village, county and state.
