The guest commentary by Carol Ring hit the nail on the head. She stated that policymakers ignore these facts because they believe teachers, if pushed hard enough, can overcome the effects of poverty. How stupid are they?

We just eliminated one with this mental breakdown. Let's continue to work on getting rid of the rest.

Then educators can get back to teaching and overcoming more than just society problems. We need to eliminate once and for all the politicians who think they know what is the best education system for children.

Teachers and parents, don't stop now. You are winning!
