I wish everyone could be a postal carrier for at least one week. I recently retired, and I know the wear and tear it does to the body and more recently on the mind.
In all my years, I never thought such a great job could become such a drag. Obviously somebody sitting on their butt decided to make it more difficult. Sometimes progress is a huge setback when change comes and the inexperienced make the changes.
With Saturday deliveries on the verge of disappearing, it will only result in overtime pay for an overloaded Monday. Ask any carrier, and they will tell you the same.
I look up to carriers with pride and respect. It's not their fault the decision-makers have never experienced their job.
