Felony charge over $2 coffee is ridiculous

A recent article about a woman facing felony theft charges over a $2 coffee indicates how inane priorities are here.

1.) The owner who called 911 should be charged for making a non-emergency call.

2.) The police should be questioned as to why they would even fathom a felony charge.

3.) 50 cents for a cup and hot water is more than fair for what is probably at most 5 cents.

4.) Obviously if she is walking to Texas from Valpo, there is something else going on here. This owner and the responding police might share this same issue!
