The new president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway touts a rosy future for his venue in The Times, But what benefit will Indiana residents reap from the multimillion dollar loan to his left turn, dust cloud, vehicle part debris, business passed by the Indiana Legislature at the expense of other more important issues that face Indiana?

This state has a large problem with its infrastructure and railroad safety, as well as education! So favor the taxpayer with an itemized list of how this loan will be expended and how it will improve their everyday lives.

What is even more important, the legislators who supported this loan should be ready to defend their action for a private and profitable business rather than addressing public needs!
