God abhors homosexuality, so he would make people gay

I'm responding to a letter by David Casson stating that God made gay people that way. I don't think he is aware of God's condemnation of those who are  homosexual.

Leviticus 18 clearly defines this conduct as an abomination; therefore, He is casting these sinful nations out of the land. If God, our Creator, condemns such practices, he certainly would not "make a person to be born gay." If you attribute this to God, that would be blasphemy.

James 1:13-15 says, "... God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He himself tempt anyone ..."

The New Testament reiterates what the Old Testament says about homosexuality. Ephesians 5:12 tells us, "It is shameful to even speak of those things which are done by them in secret." In fact, if more people knew of the horrors of abortion and the practices of homosexuals, they would be shocked that our society is so approving.
