In response to Charles Hosszu's March 27 question:
"Has [this administration] come up with any kind of bill to aid in unemployment?"
The bill put forward — and swiftly cut down by our "do-nothing Congress" — was called The American Jobs Act of 2011.
The bill would not add to the national deficit and would be fully paid for.
The Senate blocked the bill preventing the creation of at least 1 million jobs and two additional GDP points.
This information is widely known and can be easily found from reputable sources.
You will not, however, get this info from the Talking Points Memo on Fox News or AM560.
I do, however, want everyone to know the GOP blocked the bill that would have employed many tens of thousands of people in the region because of the type of infrastructure jobs to be created.
