I'm sure all those Republicans blaming President Barack Obama for the unemployment rate and claiming he's ruined our economy will be just as quick to give him full credit for what's going on in the stock market, where people saving for their pensions have their IRAs, 401(k)s and mutual funds invested.

In the three and a half years since Obama became president, the Dow has more than doubled (from a little over 6000 to a little over 13,000), the S&P 500 has grown by nearly 75 percent, and more than $6 trillion have been added to overall market capitalization.

As I say, I'm sure Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, John Boehner and others will be falling all over themselves to give Obama credit for this. But I'm not holding my breath.
